Rotary's Causes

Take a book, return a book.  Our library, created by a partnership with the Friends of the Modoc County Library and the Niles Hotel, is enjoyed by locals and visitors to our community.

Since 1956, the Modoc High School Block M Basketball Tournament has offered a  quality experience for competing teams and spectators.

This autumn festival features beer from various breweries and traditional german sausage.  Proceeds will used to purchase picnic tables for the Modoc District Fair.

The Rotary Clubs of Alturas help the Alturas Chamber of Commerce judge parade float entries.

Alturas Rotary is proud that this long-standing annual fish derby remains as it was initially intended - to provide a day for families to get together and have a good time.

Teams participate in a great day of golf, socializing, and fundraising for community projects and scholarships. Local businesses and individuals supported the event.

Guests gather to celebrate the holiday season with a relaxing atmosphere and traditional high tea treats, while participating in raffles to raise funds for worthy service projects.

Local 4-H and FFA members showcase their animals and take part in a livestock judging contest. Market animals are auctioned following the Awards Ceremony.

Chartered in 2015, the Modoc Middle School Interact Club has positively impacted many lives by supporting the community and helping others worldwide.

Camp RYLA is a youth leadership training camp for High School Seniors and tomorrow’s leaders. Students build communication and problem-solving skills while having fun.

The Alturas and Alturas Sunrise Rotary Clubs annually sponsor students from Modoc Middle School. REGL graduates often join the Interact Club to enhance their leadership skills.

Every year, our hands-on projects bring our members together and positively impact our community. It's a fantastic way to energize our club, welcome new members, and spread the word about Rotary!
