Alturas Little Free Library

Take a book, return book.  Our library, created by a partnership with the Friends of the Modoc County Library and the Niles Hotel, is used by the community and travelers.

Alturas Rotary Youth Park

Thanks to a gift from the John Wall Trust, we provide leadership for the construction, repair and maintenance of the Alturas Rotary Youth Park, in collaboration with local partners.

Attic Sale

This fundraiser, made possible by the generous donations of local citizens, brings in a generous sum of money for our community and international service projects.

Dinner in the Park

This collaborative event held with the Alturas Chamber of Commerce Hot Air Balloon Fest offers food, fun and fellowship, while raising funds for community service projects.

Fish Derby

Alturas Rotary is proud that this long-standing annual fish derby remains as it was originally intended - to provide a day for families to get together and have a good time.

Junior Livestock Show & Sale

Local 4-H and FFA  members show their animals and participate in a livestock judging contest.  Market animals are auctioned after the Awards Ceremony.

Fandango Days Parade Float

The Rotary Clubs of Alturas join together to create a float each year showcasing the contributions of local Rotarians in our community, country and around the world.

Golf Tournament & Dinner

Teams participate in a great day of golf, socializing, and fundraising for community projects and scholarships. Local businesses and individuals supported the event.

Basketball Tournament

Since 1956, the Modoc High School Block M Basketball Tournament has offered a  quality experience for competing teams and spectators.

Students attend club meetings each month to update members about current and upcoming classroom and extracurricular activities at the high school.

Holiday Tea Social

Guests join together to celebrate the holiday season and savor a relaxing atmosphere and traditional high tea eats.  Raffle items draw in funds for worthy service projects.

The Modoc Middle School Interact clubs brings young people together to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.  

Rotary Youth Leadership Awakening

Camp RYLA is a youth leadership training camp for High School Seniors and tomorrow’s leaders. Students build communication and problem-solving skills while having fun.

Rotary Eighth Grade Leadership

The Alturas and Alturas Sunrise Rotary Clubs annually sponsor students from the Modoc Middle School.  REGL graduates often join the Interact Club to further their leadership skills.

Rhonda Haselip Invitational

Modoc County's version of the "Special Olympics" is well attended by local and surrounding area athletes.  We empower and celebrate the accomplishments of these talented men and women.

Rotarians at Work Day

Annual hands-on projects engage members and help our community. The day is a great way to revitalize our club, attract  new members and generate publicity for Rotary.

The club provides financial and hands-on  support to youth, seniors, and Rotary International for projects such as scouting, Children's Fair, Little League teams, Modoc Last Frontier Fair, and senior meals.
